Warren S. Hecht
During my 30 years of practicing as an attorney I have been appellate counsel or of counsel on 206 published appellate court decisions consisting of one hundred and thirty-two civil cases and seventy-four criminal cases. In addition, there are six pending appeals, five civil and one criminal.
The vast majority of the criminal appeals were after trial. The majority of the civil appeals were pre-trial motions including the granting or the denial of a motion to dismiss or for summary judgment.
The criminal cases are convictions from a B misdemeanor up to an A-1 felony. The civil cases involve many areas of law such as civil rights, contracts, constructive trusts, corporations, custody, employment, family offenses, guardianship, immigration, landlord-tenant, licenses, matrimonial, malpractice, mortgages, neglect proceedings, personal injury, real property and unemployment insurance.
